Imagine transforming lunchtime into a playful experience while keeping food fresh and cool!
As part of my freelance work with Fit & Fresh, a company known for its innovative lunch boxes and bags, I was tasked with developing an exciting concept for their new Ice Pack Collection. The challenge was to create a unique design that could fit together like puzzle pieces, allowing children to easily assemble them into a wall or cube, ensuring they fit perfectly within their lunch boxes.
My Role
I collaborated closely with the lead product designer throughout the research and development phases. My role involved brainstorming ideas, sketching concepts, and iterating designs based on functionality and manufacturability.
Process

Conducted market research on existing ice packs to identify gaps and opportunities for innovation.
Explored various shapes and configurations that would appeal to children and fit the product's theme.

Created multiple design concepts focusing on a singular shape that could interlock, resembling puzzle pieces.
Ensured the design was easy to manufacture, using durable and eco-friendly materials while maintaining structural integrity during use.
Designed with young users in mind, ensuring the ice packs are lightweight and easy to handle by small hands.

Outcome
The final design is an exciting yet simple product that serves both a functional and entertaining purpose. It consists of a pack of six ice packs, designed to keep lunch items cool while adding a fun element to lunchtime. The collection is available on Amazon and will soon be featured in Target stores, promising to delight both children and parents alike.
